While We're Waiting For the World to Change
I live in the country and it is not unusual to see dead animals in and on the side of a long stretch of highway. It has always bothered me but I have this way of justifying the world around me like everyone does I suppose. “Oh it was a quick way to die. He didn’t feel a thing. At least he didn’t starve to death.” I even went as far as to say to myself once, “We can’t just stop driving cars”. But today as we sped past a pile of feathers that once belonged to a majestic Red Shouldered Hawk (not even a cute bunny or kitten) it was almost unbearable for me to see. I wondered why suddenly road kill bothered me so much when I had seen it thousands of times. Then it occurred to me that it wasn’t the death of an animal that was disturbing. It was the disrespect for the life we have in general for the sake of convenience. We all create and participate in activities with so little concern about how they affect the planet and its inhabitants.
Generally speaking humans are becoming more conscious of what they are energetically and their role in this world as co-creators, as parts of a greater whole. The term for this mass awakening has been dubbed The Shift. But we seem to be looking for some major event to occur at some pivotal moment with the fan fare and the monuments to this official new world like a grand opening of a new Target. As John Mayer said, “We keep waiting for the world to change”. And that is very true but what is actually responsible for that change is our level of tolerance. As we realize our connectedness to all things and our undeniable powers to create our reality with our thoughts we see that with power comes responsibility. As our vibrations rise in this awareness, as a whole, the tolerance levels plunge. Suddenly we can’t sleep because we are wondering if we forgot to recycle the beer bottle. We have a panic attack in the grocery store because we can’t find organic peaches. And we burst into tears driving down the highway at the sight of road kill. Can you imagine how I felt when I saw a homemade video of a U.S. soldier saying how he and other soldiers raped fifteen year old girl repeatedly, killed her family and used her as a prostitute until she hanged herself? It is my tolerance that is shifting. There will be death and destruction and violence as long as there are people in the lower dimensional existence enslaved by fear. If we are waiting for the world to change it will be a long and grueling process. This is why it is so crucial for us to not ignore but detach emotionally from the atrocities as we seek to raise the vibration of the planet. This is the silent revolution and the last great battle of Armageddon, to hold that “Heavenly” vibration while the wars of “Hell” rage on earth.
Fear is the only enemy that can prevent us from mastering our own mind, body, thoughts, emotions and actions. Becoming a master of self makes it impossible to be controlled by others. But the only thing that brings peace in a world of chaos, suffering and unimaginable violence is compassion and a great deal of patience. It also wouldn’t hurt to have some benevolent ET’s nearby with bad ass technology to put bad little children in time out.
“The only devil is fear. The only god is contentedness. In a world of chaos and other people’s dreams, who do you want to be?” ~lyrics from Who Do You Want to Be? Cari Eden Kindl
